Color Coded Charging Hoses

PolarShield™
Charging Hose
Designed to meet UL and SAE
Requirements
These color coded charging hoses have been
designed to meet UL and SAE requirements for strength, pressure, and
refrigerant permutation.
Working pressure: 500 PSI
Burst pressure: 2,500 PSI
Choice of End Connections
PolarShield™ comes with ends for 1/4" SAE flare
connections or with a permanently attached high performance Kwic-Coupler
at the other end. Standard 1/4" swivel flare connections feature an
angled elbow with an adjustable valve core depressor. With the
addition of the Kwic-Coupler, refrigerant is captured in the hose
preventing refrigeration loss, dangerous hand burns, and atmospheric
damage.

Seals perfectly without skilled manipulation
Depress all core valves without adjustment
The Kwik-Coupler set is intended for use with
refrigeration air conditioning service manifold high and low side
hoses, when connecting to core valve type service fittings.
Conventional threaded connecting is converted to push-pull operation
which is faster, easier and positive sealing at all times. Valve
cores are depressed automatically without adjustments of loss of
refrigerant. Disconnecting is also accomplished without loss of
refrigerant.
Features
- Automatic full depression of core valves
without adjustment, regardless of core position.
- Coupler halves separately connect to access
fitting and hose end, then easy push/pull operation automatically
opens or closes system without loss of refrigerant.
- Automatic shutoff of hose ends permits
discharging high side hose through manifold into low side.
- Eliminates hazardous discharge of refrigerant
and oil from high side of system when disconnecting hoses.
- Simplifies operation of charging critical
amount of refrigerant into small systems.
- Prevents freezing hand when
disconnecting-especially servicing heat pumps in cold weather.
- Hoses can be stored under slight pressure, if
desired to prevent contamination.
- Core depressors in hose ends no longer
necessary- spread servicing of system with hang valves.
